Day 9

We all have weak areas in our lives & resisting the devil’s deceptive tactics on our own is not possible..
That’s why we need divine help..
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.. (James 4:7)
– Submit yourselves therefore to God.
What is submitting to God?
Key to submission – To put yourself under or to submit yourself to someone else’s authority willingly. When I do it willingly and submit myself under God’s authority God teaches me things..
4 things to remember while submitting
1. Be humble
2. Obey
3. Respect and give the Word the highest honour
4. Love and forgive
Humility is submission without force. Submission with your own free will. A person who does not agree or submit to God’s Word is a person of pride. God hates pride..
– Resist the devil.
How do I resist the devil? With my faith. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. (1 John 5:4). Speak your faith in the Name of Jesus over those weak areas in your life using the appropriate promises of God for those areas..
– And he will flee from you.
The devil flees from you because he cannot stand a believer using his authority over him. Jesus did the same in the desert when He countered all the devil’s attacks with, IT IS WRITTEN, quoting scriptures and the devil fled..
Jesus did it – so we do the same. Remember the devil does not want you to know this truth..
Do not give the devil an opportunity. (Ephesians 4:27)
“Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith.….”(1 Peter 5:9‬)
