Day 8

A lot of people talk to God but never hear from God..!
That’s because for them, prayer is a monologue (one-sided conversation) and you cannot maintain any relationship through just a monologue..
Remember GOD seeks a relationship with each of us, so change how you commit to Him..
Spend quiet time with God in your prayer time so you can hear from God..
How do we know God is speaking to us?
1. God speaks to us through the Holy Spirit with inspired thoughts in a quiet way that we can recognize..
2. The Holy Spirit brings feelings of joy and peace; we do not feel stress, anxiety or worry..
3. The voice of God will resonate with us (be understood by us)..
4. God speaks to us through His Word and through His Son Jesus Christ..
No matter our level of understanding, God does want to communicate with us through prayer and through the influence of the Holy Spirit. Whether we respond better to thoughts, feelings or other means, that is the way God will try to communicate with us..
When God speaks, we will recognise it in our hearts and minds. He speaks in terms of peace, not anxiety..
“But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul…..”(Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:29‬)
