Our God is incredible. He not only defines and defeats sin; he also delivers us from the deserved penalty for our sins by forgiving them and also purifying us of all unrighteousness. True healing means more than curing a sick body — and we praise God for the times he has given us physical healing. True healing, however, means we are forgiven and delivered from what breaks our spirits and makes our souls and bodies unhealthy. Only God offers this “benefit” as part of his retirement package for each of us! No wonder we should shout, “Praise the Lord!, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases” Psalm 103:2-3
