Day 7

A physical body is given to each of us by our loving Heavenly Father..
He created it as a tabernacle for our spirit to assist each of us in our quest to fulfill the full measure of our creation..
Our bodies allow each of us to experience the great plan of salvation that He has designed for all His children..
Proper rest, however, plays a significant role in living the Abundant Life!..
Without adequate relaxation and rejuvenation, we lack the strength and energy to fulfill all of the mighty plans God has ordained for our lives and are unable to achieve our God-given potential!..
God knows the importance of rest..
The Bible even speaks about Jesus resting in Mark 4:38. “Jesus was calmly sleeping in the stern, resting on a cushion.”..
Praise God for providing us with peace and rest and being our Source of Strength during our weak, feeble moments..
My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.. (Psalm 62:1-2)
And He said, “My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. (Exodus 33:14)
However, rest from physical labor should not be excessive..
We are not called to be lazy or slothful..
Laziness has no place in the character of a follower of Jesus..
So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing? How long before you get out of bed? (Proverbs 6:9)
My child, never drift off course from these two goals for your life: to walk in wisdom and to discover your purpose. Don’t ever forget how they empower you. For they strengthen you inside and out and inspire you to do what’s right; you will be energized and refreshed by the healing they bring. They give you living hope to guide you, and not one of life’s tests will cause you to stumble. You will sleep like a baby, safe and sound— your rest will be sweet and secure.. (Proverbs 3:21-24)
“So now I’ll lie down and sleep like a baby— then I’ll awake in safety, for You surround me with Your glory. Even though ten thousand dark powers prowl around me, I won’t be afraid.…..”(Psalm 3:5-6‬)
