Day 5

Living for God is about making a choice..!
It’s about developing new habits – It’s not impossible to do it, but it does take the guts to make a decision & the tenacity (determination, perseverance) to stick to your commitment..
This kind of life is achieved when you wake up in the morning & decide to talk to God – to put Him first & do things His way..
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
– Trust in the Lord.
What is trust? It is being committed to, dependent on, having absolute confidence in, no matter what. So when I trust in the Lord it means I am committed to the Lord, dependent on the Lord, confident in the Lord no matter what my situation or circumstance..
God wants you and me to put our complete, wholehearted, undivided trust in Him..
– With all your heart.
Heart does not mean the physical organ in our body but a spiritual part of us – our spirit; the core of our being; the center of our relationship with God..
– And do not lean on your own understanding.
I do not lean on, depend on, believe in my own thinking but lean on, depend on, believe in the intelligence, knowledge, experience, wisdom, and promptings from the Holy Spirit who resides in me—all of which lead me to knowing and doing what is right..
– In all your ways acknowledge Him.
This means accepting Him and much more than that it refers to KNOWING GOD. When we know God, have an intimate relationship with Him and walk with Him every day through His Word, we learn how He thinks and acts…
– And He will make straight your paths.
Wow! The end result of my trusting in God with all my heart, leaning not on my own understanding, acknowledging Him in all my ways is He makes all my crooked, broken, entangled, sinful paths straight..
DO IT TODAY!
“For everyone who knows Your wonderful Name keeps putting their trust in You. They can count on You for help no matter what. O Lord, You will never, no never, neglect those who come to You.……”(Psalm 9:10‬)
