God answers prayers! The Bible promises us that it is so. St. Luke emphasized one specific answer to prayer that God-seekers receive. God longs to give us a truly remarkable and wonderful gift: his presence in us through his Holy Spirit (Luke 11:13). Because of the indwelling Spirit, God can do more for us through his power at work within than all we can ask or even imagine (Ephesians 3:20-21). “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:10.

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?
