We sometimes develop enemies because they see God doing good things in us and are afraid..
Jealousy or enviousness causes them to be defensive and angry..
But if you keep trusting and believing in God and His Word and do not retaliate, He will make your enemies your footstool..
What the enemy meant for evil, God will turn it around for your good..
We have sinned before a holy God yet He still poured out His love unto us. There was a time when we were an enemy of God, but Christ loved us and saved us from the wrath of God..
Our love for others is our grateful response to the love God first demonstrated to us.
Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
That is why we must rely on the Holy Spirit. Tell God that you can’t do it on your own and you need His help. Pray for yourself, pray for the other person too..
“Beloved, let us [unselfishly] love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]……”(1 John 4:7)
