Day 27

We live and move and have our being looking for certain people to approve of us..
Jesus lived for the approval of one person only — the Father..
We have to be careful about needing, requesting, & requiring the approval of people, because it can cost all that GOD has for us..!
If we are only living for the approval of people, we are in big trouble. People’s opinions change daily. What they like and don’t like is influenced by the media, the latest styles, and even by how much sleep they got the night before..
Jesus knew this so He wasn’t rocked by the applause or the condemnations of the people. He simply focused on living to please His Father..
Let people think or say what they will; the only important words we need to pay attention to are “thus says the Lord”..
“Thus says the Lord” means that God has spoken His sure, infallible Word..
Take a stand for Christ with people. Seek His approval, not the approval of the crowd..
Do not put the crowds applause & opinions over Christ’s approval..
There is nothing valid or concrete about a man’s opinion – It’s only a view or estimation at its best..!
So why do we lose our minds over their opinions or approvals..?
Instead of looking around to see your reflection in faces around you, look to the beautiful face of God in the face of His only Son, Jesus Christ. His face gives freedom from the fear of man. If He approves, let all the world condemn..
We must live to please the One who never changes. Our focus will be clearer if we let the opinions of men roll off our backs. Our lives will be richer and less chaotic if we live to do the will of the Father who loves us no matter what..
Christ calls us to look to His face, to hear His Word, and to listen to His people to understand who we are in Him..
And as we hear what He speaks over us, mere human faces lose their hold on us. We speak truthfully and love freely because we, like Christ, are not receiving glory from men..
If you are accepted by the One who matters, you have all you need. Stay faithful and seek God’s approval above man’s approval. As a result, you’ll step more into the purpose that God has for your life..
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ……” (Galatians 1:10)
