Sometimes the most profound truths are very simple. The power to reach the world for Christ involves God’s might working through Jesus’ disciples empowered by the Holy Spirit. Jesus tells his disciples about God’s plan for them to begin where they are reaching out to those who are close geographically, and go into all the world. Our worldwide witness is based upon our willingness to tell others what God has done for us in Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit to make that witness effective! “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8.
