Day 2

We will never be able to control a challenging boss, an unexpected bill, a frustrating relationship, or discouraging news..
But we can take control of our thoughts, our attitudes, and our emotions to maximise our successes..
Our thoughts powerfully impact our emotions and actions. The cycle goes like this…
We have a thought (that we treat like a fact), which brings up feelings in us and we respond to those feelings by doing something..
If the original thought is lovely, delightful or true, it will bring up happy emotions and actions. When the thought is anxious, depressive or negative etc, – we don’t feel good and our actions follow suit..
How do we control our thoughts? What is this life changing formula? The only book that can truly change your life is the Word of God..
Our biggest downfall is attempting to control our thoughts in our own strength. That’s why we wear out, fall short and give up..
Bringing your weaknesses to God, who gives grace abundantly, is far more effective. We aren’t perfect, nor is our thought life perfect – but the grace of Christ is sufficient. Stop beating yourself up and give it to Him..
We are not intended to bear the burden alone. It’s grace that comes alongside us to help bear the load..
The Word of God is Truth. What we think isn’t always accurate – that’s when we line it up against God’s Word..
The Word of God will transform your thought life if you believe it’s true. Do it in God’s strength..
When you believe God in your situation, all things become possible to him that believes. God can change impossible situations mysteriously and in miraculous ways..
“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.….”(Romans 12:2)
