Day 19

No seed takes longer to grow than the seed sown in the soil of human nature..
Human nature does not want to humble itself to God and it does not want to wait on anything – but God requires these things..
GOD requires it because He created us to be filled with His nature..
The reason why no seed takes longer to grow than the seed sown in the soil of human nature is because God never created us to be filled with human nature but His nature, that is love, mercy, forgiveness..
We have to “fertilize” our human nature with His nature..
How do we do that?
By accepting Jesus as our Lord God and Saviour and believing by faith, His finished works on the cross and all that He promised us in His Word through His divine exchange of the cross, through the preaching of the gospel..
Only our Creator can give us the power to rightly manage our thoughts and attitudes and resist the temptations that bombard us..
He calls us by opening our minds to understand the scriptures..
Then He begins turning our lives around—if we willingly respond to His calling and cooperate with Him..
He wants us not only to learn but to practice His way of life—to become sincerely and thoroughly committed to it..
Now it’s time to be made new by every revelation that’s been given to you. And to be transformed as you embrace the glorious Christ-within as your new life and live in union with Him! For God has re-created you all over again in His perfect righteousness, and you now belong to Him in the realm of true holiness..
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.…”(Philippians 2:13‬)
