Day 17

Spiritual pruning often happens during our trials because suffering is the best time for the revelation of the idols (anything that takes the place of God) in our hearts. We can’t really grow spiritually and turn away from our idolatry if we cannot identify the idols that rule our hearts..
The pruning that Jesus teaches here involves getting rid of the things in our lives that cause us not to be in the kind of relationship with God that He wants. We are on the vine, but if we want to stay, we must allow God to cut away and prune our habits and behaviors..
Pruning is not a punishment for a Christian; it is a reward. God is the vinedresser who prunes the life of everyone who abides in Christ and bears the fruit of Christ. Spiritual pruning boosts spiritual growth by removing whatever obstructs spiritual growth..
Take it as a time of OPPORTUNITY for God to show Himself strong & mighty in your life..!
Our Father loves you so much and He sees your capacity. He sees all you can be: the beautiful saint made in His image and perfected in Christ..
Allow God to set your focus and priorities right..
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener. He cuts away every branch of Mine that doesn’t produce fruit. But He trims clean every branch that does produce fruit, so that it will produce even more fruit.…..”(John 15:1-2)
