Day 17

Instead of giving us what we deserve, God has shown mercy again and again, not to take away our responsibility, but to give us a chance to repent and be saved..
God wants our lives to overflow with mercy, love, compassion & forgiveness – the marks of His kingdom..!
We have a choice: react to unsettling realities in fear & withdraw, or follow Christ in responding to the greatest needs of the hour with love & hope – remember, our intentions create our reality..!!
As undeserving recipients of God’s mercy, nothing else would be fitting than that we ourselves show unreserved mercy and compassion for other people. Indeed, we are commanded to be merciful as God is merciful!..
Compassion is to share the pain and suffering of others, and actively working to help them. Our greatest example in this is Jesus Himself, who took upon Himself human nature, giving His life to open a way of eternal salvation for us..
Can we also open our hearts to others, friends and strangers alike, and learn to love selflessly, as we have been loved?..
We know salvation doesn’t depend on works, but we also know that caring for those in need is evidence of a faith that changes lives..
JESUS did it for you. Will you do it for others, for Him?
Yes Lord..
“For when you saw me hungry, you fed me. When you found me thirsty, you gave me drink. When I had no place to stay, you invited me in, and when I was poorly clothed, you covered me. When I was sick, you tenderly cared for me, and when I was in prison you visited me. …..”(Matthew 25:35-36‬)
