Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut (show off), doesn’t have a swelled head (proud), doesn’t force itself on others, isn’t always “me first,” doesn’t fly off the handle (losing control of one’s emotions : become very angry), doesn’t keep score of the sins of others..
In fact love is the rod that holds up all the other virtues together..
Let your love be sincere, a real thing; hate what is evil, loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness, but hold fast to that which is good..
“For the whole Law [concerning human relationships] is fulfilled in one precept, “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF [that is, you shall have an unselfish concern for others and do things for their benefit].….”(Galatians 5:14)
