We are prone to grumbling when we fail to see the unconditional love God has for each one of us personally. Christ came into this world and died for all of our sins of complaining and selfishness. Jesus after his death and resurrection has given us the Holy Spirit to have authority over our sinful nature of complaning We often seek to accumulate earthly treasure. Some are never satisfied. They think their happiness is based on better car, bigger house, heavy bank balance, higher position etc. Israelites also constantly grumbled in the wilderness not knowing the love of God, they had no relationship with God. So Egypt was pleasing to them. They compared that their life of slavery in Egypt was better than the life of freedom God is offering to them. When our heart is discontent, Satan can use us in the course of ongoing grumbling about fellow men and God The complaining attitude of Israelites allowed the serpent to destroy them in the wilderness. Let’s desire today to be free from this grumbling spirit as this is not the Spirit of Jesus. Replace grumbling with thanksgiving. God teaches us to live a life of thanksgiving 1 Chronicles 16:34 “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Phil 2:14 “Do all things without grumbling or disputing “
