Day 1

A strong union is the fundamental building block of every society & culture..!
Throughout history, when unions have been strong, nations have been strong, but when they weaken, cultures decline..
More importantly, God uses love unions to perfect our character – we learn to be unselfish & loving..
Unmet expectations are the primary cause for relational breakdowns..
When you expect anyone – a spouse, a family member, friend, or pastor, – to meet a need that only God can fulfill, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and bitterness..
Instead of looking to GOD, we look to others to make us happy and then get angry when they fail us..
Only a perfect person can give us perfect love and that is God..
The first biblical step toward restoring a relationship is to talk to God before talking to the person..
When we expect and receive perfect love from a perfect person (God) we do not expect it from imperfect people around us and when there is no expectation we are able to love the other person genuinely with the God kind of love..
Love each other with genuine affection, & take delight in honouring each other..
“Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you…..”(2 Corinthians 13:11)
