God chose the Israelites to be his special nation. This wasn’t because they were better or brighter than other nations. No, God chose them because of his love for Abraham so he could bless all nations of the earth through his chosen people with the Messiah, the Savior of the world. We know this Messiah. His name is Jesus, the light of the world! “I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles.” Isaiah 42:6
