When we pray with the scriptures, darkness trembles..!
Positive praying is more effective than positive thinking..
All the positive thinking in the world isn’t going to change you, your spouse, child, friend, or situation.. Positive thinking may affect you momentarily, but it won’t bring a change in your life or in someone else nor your situation..
But positive prayer can make a difference in you and someone else because it is the power of God..
What’s the quickest way to change a bad relationship to a good one? Start praying for the other person! It will change you, and it changes the other person too..
St. Paul taught us how to pray for others: “I continue to pray for your love to grow and increase beyond measure, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things. This will enable you to choose the most excellent way of all —becoming pure and without offense until the unveiling of Christ. And you will be filled completely with the fruits of righteousness that are found in Jesus, the Anointed One—bringing great praise and glory to God!” (Philippians 1:9-11).
We learn to pray for the people in our lives in four ways:
1. Pray believing that they will grow in love: “I continue to pray for your love to grow and increase beyond measure, bringing you into the rich revelation of spiritual insight in all things.”
2. Pray believing that they will make wise choices: “This will enable you to choose the most excellent way of all”
3. Pray believing that they will live with integrity: “becoming pure and without offense until the unveiling of Christ.”
4. Pray believing that they will become like Jesus: “And you will be filled completely with the fruits of righteousness that are found in Jesus, the Anointed One—bringing great praise and glory to God!”
Pray this for yourself and others in your life, and watch how God turns around the relationship that seemed hopeless or needed to be revived..
“The LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends, and the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.….”(Job 42:10‬)
