If you’re a Christian dealing with negativity in your life, the best way to overcome this, is to submit to God. Don’t be conformed to the world and don’t hang around bad influences. Avoid the devil and give him no opportunity. Continually give the Lord thanks for all He’s done in your life and all He continues to do. Flee from negative situations, don’t stay there. Just like Joseph in the Old Testament fled from Potiphar’s wife..
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you..

When your self-life craves the things that offend the Holy Spirit you hinder Him from living free within you! And the Holy Spirit’s intense cravings hinder your self-life from dominating you!
