Day 8

Unmet expectations are the primary cause for relational breakdowns..
When you expect anyone – a friend, spouse, pastor, or family member – to meet a need that only God can fulfill, you are setting yourself up for disappointment and bitterness..
Instead of looking to GOD, we look to others to make us happy and then get angry when they fail us..
The first biblical step toward restoring a relationship is to talk to God before talking to the person..
“You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it….”(James‬ ‭4:2‬)
