“Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you now dismiss your servant in peace. For my eyes have seen your salvation…” —Luke 2:29-30.
Old devout Simeon uttered these words when he saw the Christ child. Similar praise of Jesus must be our goal as well. While we cannot physically see Jesus, our salvation, and hold him in our arms as Simeon did, we can see him through Scripture, worship, ministry, evangelism, faith, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Let’s make it our aim to honor God as the only true God and to follow, praise, and adore Jesus as our Lord and Savior!.
