Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, but there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries.” — Daniel 2:27-28.
Daniel spoke the ageless truth to King Nebuchadnezzar when he wanted his dream interpreted. The question for us is straightforward: “Do we believe what Daniel said?” What is the bedrock of our faith in uncertain times? Who knows where all the upheaval, tumult, and uncertainty are truly heading? In whom can we find the solution to our most perplexing problems? Where can our hearts find comfort in times of political upheaval and conflict? For Daniel and his friends, there was one solid and accurate answer: the Lord God of Israel. It wasn’t in the so-called wise teachers or sages of the day. It wasn’t in the religions of the East. It wasn’t in the super-spiritualists. It was and still is, in the Lord God alone.
