As we examine our blessings and thank God for his wonderful grace, let’s ask for what God has blessed us so much. Let’s also remember the primary spiritual principle God made clear in today’s Scripture and his call to Abraham (Genesis 12:1-3). God blesses his people so that they will be a blessing to others. Let’s make sure we are not merely recipients of God’s blessings; let’s be conduits of those blessings to others so that they can join us in our praise and thanksgiving for our wonderful and generous Father in heaven. “You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.” 2 Corinthians 9:11
