Day 8

A long wait without anticipation is frustrating and sometimes makes bitter anger for what appears to be wasted time. Long or short, as followers of Jesus, we live and wait with anticipation. Our waiting has us on tiptoe, looking forward to the coming of our “blessed hope.” This hope is rooted in Jesus’ promise to return. But more than just his return, our hope is rooted in his glorious appearance as our Savior coming to take us home to our Father. On that day, our trust in Jesus as Lord will be validated, and our highest expectations will be realized. “We wait for the blessed hope of the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” Titus 2:13.
