Joy is the inward happiness that comes by knowing the end result in the beginning. We need to have this joy on our good days and on our bad days. A person who is facing trials can focus on the unseen (Gods word) or the seen (circumstances). But we have to make a choice to see in our eyes of faith the end result, only this can give us inner joy and peace that the world cannot give. A person who has this inner joy has the promises of God. Example: God gave Joseph the promise (end result) that he will be exalted. When Joseph was sold as a slave, that promise built him up in his trails and he had joy. Therefore we don’t see Joseph blaming anyone for his negative circumstances he had faced. To receive this joy, one has to constantly nourish himself with Gods word. Meditating and speaking out the promises of God gives us enormous strength to move forward to maturity and patience. “James 1:2-3 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”
