This new year we are called upon to be strong people whose lives can positively impact others..
God has placed us in certain seasons of life for a reason, & He is calling us to act accordingly so we can find the purpose we have been created for..
We all know what it can feel like to pursue something—whether it’s starting out a new job, trying out a new creative hobby, making changes in our life/relationships, pursuing God’s plan & purpose for our life—and not get any feedback or encouragement..
You want to quit and it can feel hard to stick with your goals. It can also lead to discouragement..
Because God created us and knows this about our personalities, He has provided scriptures in the Bible to not only encourage us like Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”, and more, but also to teach us the importance of lifting up those around us..
Imagine how your community could change for the better with a little more encouragement between neighbors instead of community message boards filled with complaints..
Or how strong your team at work could become if each person talked up their teammates work instead of their own accomplishments in order to get ahead. What an awesome world that could be!..
So speak encouraging words to one another. Build up hope so you’ll all be together in this, no one left out, no one left behind……. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
……Be skilled at gently encouraging those who feel themselves inadequate……Help the weak to stand again. Be quick to demonstrate patience with everyone. Resist revenge, and make sure that no one pays back evil in place of evil but always pursue doing what is beautiful to one another and to all the unbelievers……. (1 Thessalonians 5:14-15)
“Discover creative ways to encourage others and to motivate them toward acts of compassion, doing beautiful works as expressions of love. This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward.…..” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. —1 John 4:10. God loved us
