The wise measure their words yet display affection without measure..!
There are many influences over our words & in the heat of the moment, we can foolishly let our emotions dictate to us what to say..
Out-of-control emotions tend not to produce God-honoring results..
Choosing your words carefully therefore, is very important, for remember life & death are in the power of the tongue..
Be wise & choose to listen to your heart for then, you tune in to what the Spirit of God is saying to you, coming into agreement with the Spirit before you speak..
And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by speaking words of grace to help them. (Ephesians 4:29)
A daily input of scriptural principles, a desire to grow in the knowledge of God, and time spent meditating on God’s attributes are ways to learn how to manage our emotions and grow in our walk with God..
“A wise person’s heart controls his speech, and what he says helps others learn….” (Proverbs 16:23)
