Day 16

You may feel as though you don’t measure up..
Do not shrink back, & not pursue your God given dreams..
Why are you shrinking back? Why are you afraid to live your calling? Where do you feel the most resistance?..
– Fight Fear.
We all face fear. But we must kill fear like it is the devil, because it is. We do not belong to the one who shrinks back; we belong to the One who moved ahead through His blood and sweat and despair and fear and reluctance in the garden of Gethsemane.
– Fight Uncertainty.
We have the Word of God from God about who He is and what He wants for us that we can absolutely trust. He knows and leads and works. What we don’t know yet is meant to lead us to dependence on Him.
– Fight Distraction.
There are a lot of things we do but never consider that there is a bigger reason we are here. We could be missing the Only thing that is important for all the small things we do.
– Fight Insecurity.
We shrink back because we are insecure. But God reminds us that this is about Him and not us. Because of grace we have nothing to prove to anyone. Our confidence is in the security and power God gives us, not in ourselves. To know that we are absolutely treasured, loved unconditionally, changes us. We feel free, and we want to run with a God who loves us like that. To know that we do not have to measure up and that we don’t have to because of Jesus, because of grace, means that life becomes a whole lot more fruitful.
– Fight Comparison.
Rather than listening to God alone, we look around and compare and allow our inadequacies to consume us. We fall apart when we look at our fears and compare ourselves to every other runner in the race. But fix your eyes on a God like Jesus, and you will not quit. You will not shrink back. Not from others, and not from yourself.
You may not be able to see it, but you are a child of the most High..
Get ready to be launched into prominence on the wings of GRACE..
“Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it. Because He never lost sight of where He was headed – that exhilarating finish in and with God – He could put up with anything along the way: cross, shame, whatever. And now He’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God……” (Hebrews 12:2)
