Day 15

True freedom is not a matter of doing what you want without restraint (self-control), but cultivating the right wants and living in obedience to God’s will. In other words, freedom results when our wants align with God’s will..
In the deepest sense, freedom is a gift of God because we cannot liberate ourselves from our illusions and selfish desires without divine grace. Therefore Jesus said : “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free”..
What did Jesus set us free from?
1. The freedom Jesus offers is not only the forgiveness of sins, but freedom FROM sin — to no longer be enslaved to sin!
2. Jesus has the power to set you free from the bondage of sin, from any sin, no matter how intense, habitual, or powerful it may be in your life.
When Jesus sets you free, He takes away your death sentence. The penalty you deserved has been removed and you now have eternal life. He literally shifted your eternal destination. Today you can rejoice because if you have Christ then you have eternal life. You no longer have to pay the penalty for your sin..
THANK YOU JESUS!
“So if the Son sets you free, you are free through and through..….”(John 8:36‬)
