Day 13

Rest is a weapon given to us by GOD..!|
Spiritual rest, rest in the mind..
The enemy hates it because he wants you stressed & occupied..
The devil, wants nothing more than for us to be in stress, too busy, anxious, fearful and overwhelmed. When we are in that kind of state, we have taken our eyes off Jesus – you could say that the situation has become bigger to us, than HE IS!
However, when we are resting in God, taking the time to still ourselves, when we are leaning into the presence of God, in who He is, His nature, His goodness, His love and finally, when we choose Biblical truths over and above our feelings, and over the lies of the devil, over what circumstances seem to be saying, THEN we are strong, THEN we are not vulnerable (unguarded), THEN we are alert not to be deceived by the devil’s tactics..
Allow GOD to restore, replenish, & refocus your heart & mind..
Resting in WHO God says you are, resting in WHO you know Him to be – these are our weapons. The devil can do nothing with a believer who continues to stand firm in his identity in the face of loss and crisis. He is powerless against a Christian who time and time again chooses to believe the truth and God’s Word, even when life seems to be falling apart. Our enemy can only wreak havoc, and rob us of our peace when we choose to leave the sanctuary of God’s presence..
The devil wants us to doubt God’s goodness and God’s love for us..
GOD is an endless source of peace & strength & He created us to need HIM..!!
Rest is making the deliberate choice to depend on God and not on your own strength. Rest is giving space for God to act on your behalf..
“Surrender your anxiety. Be still and realize that I am God. I am God above all the nations, and I am exalted throughout the whole earth.….”(‭‭Psalm 46:10‬)
