Day 25

Those of us who choose Christ are not forced to obey Him at every turn, BUT, God makes it clear: the best life is one that is devoted to honouring Him..!
God surely does not exact (demand or impose) honour from us because He needs it, because He is the better for it, because He, for itself, delights therein. He is infinitely excellent, beyond what we can imagine or declare..
But, The Good News is that faith in Jesus frees us from the death we deserve for sinning against God – so the choice is ours to make..
Some of the amazing benefits of choosing to follow Jesus include: (Psalm 103:1-12)
– He forgives your sins and offers you eternal life
– He redeems your life from the pit, crowns you with love and compassion, and restores your soul
– He satisfies your desires with good things (His blessings are tailor-made for you)
– He does not treat you as you deserve to be treated (based on your sins) or repay you according to your iniquities (even though your sins separate you from Him for eternity)
– He is patient with you and loves you greatly (His love never gives up on you)
– He removes your transgressions as far as the east is from the west
– He has compassion on you (just as a father has compassion on his children) and adopts you into His family and kingdom

Always keep the big picture in mind..
God wants you to know Him.
Jesus wants you to follow Him.
The choice is yours..
“In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God].….”(Ephesians 1:13)
